TDCJ Chaplaincy Mentor Training
The goal of the mentoring program is to establish a trusting relationship with accountability and responsibility from the mentor and mentee.
The focus of the mentoring program is on the rehabilitative needs of the offender (not the spiritual needs of the mentor) using a continuum of care creating a growing, healthy relationship.
Upon completion of this module you will know:
- The characteristics of a good mentor
- Ground rules to help you and your mentee succeed
- Issues that can distract you from focusing on the goal
- How to manage the expectations of you and your mentee
