RSVP of Scioto County (OH) serves a rural county of over 76,000 citizens. Approximately 25% of these residents are 55 years of age or older. We serve 50 different organizations helping them to meet the needs of the county. We have served Scioto County since 1973. We are sponsored by Scioto Christian Ministry, Inc, (an eucumenical group of churches) which also oversees West End Child Care and Operation SafetyNet (Scioto County's Homeless Shelter).

Calhoun County RSVP (AL)

In Calhoun County nearly 360 volunteers give over 53,700 hours of service each year. RSVP matches volunteers with community needs. We base our referrals on the volunteer's talents, experience, interest and availability. The volunteers get to choose the hours, days, and times they are available to work.

RSVP has over 600 volunteers at our disposal to mobilize and engage as the needs arise for their services. Last year alone, RSVP volunteers provided over 85,000 hours to more than 150 non profit organizations in the Addison and Rutland county region.

Green Mountain Foster Grandparent Program (VT)

Foster Grandparents volunteer in schools, hospitals, drug treatment centers, correctional facilities, libraries, Head Start, recreation departments and day care centers. They help children who may have been abused or neglected, mentor teenagers and young mothers, care for premature infants and children with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. The heart of the program is the one-on-one daily attention that Foster Grandparents provide. This special care helps young people grow, gain confidence, learn, and become full and productive members of society.

Foster Grandparent Program of the Mid-Willamette Valley (OR)

Foster Grandparents are helping children grow physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally in the Woodburn, Silverton, Dallas, Independence, Turner, Jefferson and Salem areas. Grandparents are also placed in group homes with developmentally disabled individuals who formerly resided at Fairview Training Center. Currently about 75 senior volunteers are serving in more than fifty Volunteer Stations in the Mid-Willamette Valley.

West Central Minnesota Communities Action RSVP

Volunteers serve as drivers for the frail and elderly, visit nursing homes, help with family caregiving, act as tutors and mentors in classrooms, are group craft leaders, and assist with construction and carpentry projects.
