Technical Assistance Visits
We offer targeted and customized on-site technical assistance visits to
national service grantees. We provide individualized financial and
grants management assistance to organizations to help them to develop
the skills and systems necessary to adequately meet the compliance and
accountability requirement of managing a Corporation for National and
Community Service grant.
State-Based Training
Sessions
We
conduct workshops during regularly scheduled program directors'
meetings
and annual statewide conferences; training topics include financial
accountability and compliance, OMB and regulatory requirements, time
and activity reporting, administrative costs, match requirements,
in-kind contributions, financial reporting requirements, and OIG audit
preparation.
Regional Training
Sessions
We
provide regional training institutes that focus on fulfilling the
specific financial management needs of different regions; topics
include emerging issues relevant to all national service grantees and
subgrantees. These institutes provide both financial and grants
management training opportunities for staff at all levels.
Remote Technical Assistance
We
offer financial management technical assistance via a toll-free
telephone line, electronic mail, and fax. Just contact us in your
preferred means, and we will provide individualized assistance.
Development and Distribution
of Written Materials
We produce documents that address specific issues relating to financial
management and also provide guidance and best practices in areas that
enable national service programs to improve
their financial management practices.
Online Courses
Key Concepts of Financial Management
This course discusses the main elements of financial management for
Corporation-funded projects. Topics include Corporation regulations,
OMB circulars, written policies and procedures, internal controls, time
and activity reporting, budget controls, and others.
