Circulate books, forms, videos, curricula, and other materials
related to building strong Corporation-funded programs in areas
such as tutoring, literacy, volunteer management, youth development,
health, and environment; produce and distribute The Resource Center
Library Catalog to Corporation-funded programs.
Website and E-mail Discussion Lists
Maintain a comprehensive website that provides online access to The Resource Center resources, services, and publications; maintain and operate topical e-mail discussion lists for Corporation-funded programs, America Reads, T/TA providers, state commissions, and Corporation staff to exchange ideas, share resources, and discuss relevant issues via electronic mail.
Effective Practices Collection
Maintain and develop an online database of effective program practices; support practitioners in developing sustainable programs that lead to positive outcomes by making ideas and information widely available across the national service network.
Online Learning Center
Provide an online learning center that includes a variety of free web-based courses on a range of topics, including financial management, disaster services, tutor training, disability inclusion, and more. The center also includes My Improvement Plan, a simple tool that allows program staff to create a tailored set of resources based on the program’s unique needs.
Materials Development
and Distribution
Produce publications, such as The Resource Center monthly newsletter and the Training and Technical Assistance Resource Guide; distribute materials including Next Steps: Life After AmeriCorps, On the Road to Reading, and the Built for Success: Good Practice in Volunteer Tutor Programs.
Senior Corps
Technology Center
Maintain an inclusive website for all Senior Corps programs that provides a variety of information and resources on technology and how it can help service and volunteer programs run more efficiently. Technical support is available via e-mail and a toll-free number. The Senior Corps Tech Center website address is www.seniortechcenter.org. |
