Foster Grandparent Program

Operations Handbook

NOTICE: This handbook, issued in April 2002, does not reflect changes in the Foster Grandparent Program regulations published in the Federal Register on September 27, 2002, concerning (a) improving access to persons with limited English proficiency; (b) clarifying what income should be counted for purposes income eligibility of an applicant to become a stipended Foster Grandparent; (c) providing increased flexibility to sponsors to determine the hours of service of Foster Grandparents; and (d) reducing restrictions on sponsors serving as volunteer stations. The amended regulations may be found in Title 45 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Subtitle B, part 2552.
