Community Health Resource
Guide
This manual was developed by the National Priority Skills
Center in Preventive Health, an AmeriCorps Technical Assistance
Program. The National Priority Skills Center in Preventive Health
is administered by the American Medical Student Association
Foundation through a cooperative agreement, CA95-05, with the
Corporation for National Service.
This community health resource guide is designed to provide
AmeriCorps and other national service programs with information on
how to access both national and local resources. The resources in
this guide are outlined in two sections. The first section is
National Resources, which includes national organizations that
provide community health resources, government agencies and
clearinghouses offering health information. The second section is
State Resources which includes a list of organizations that provide
community health resources in each state. The third section is the
Health Education section, which provides some health education
instruction on topics of relevance to AmeriCorps and other national
service programs.
This document is divided up into 8 PDF (Portable Document
Format) files. The total size of this document is approximately 2.2
MB (2200 K). You can download each section separately or download
all the sections as one compressed file (.zip or .sit). The state
resources are listed in alphabetical order by state so you may only
want to download the file which includes your state.
