Abstract
This effective practice, drawn from discussions by AmeriCorps program directors on the Corporation for National and Community Service's environmental e-mail discussion list, offers practical ideas for pursuing work or graduate training in the environmental field. Links to online sources for job opportunities and career guidance and directories of environmental organizations are provided.

Finding a job in the environmental sector.
Action
There are many websites with employment opportunities in the environmental sector. Several of these also provide added information on career planning, current events, research, and related matters. Much of this material was provided in discussions by Gretchen Glaub, Krista Bailey, and Kevin Farrell on the Corporation for National and Community Service's environmental e-mail discussion list in July 2002.
Whenever, possible, links are provided directly to the job listings area of the website, but other parts of these sites may provide value to job seekers.
