Examines more than 2,000 individuals in AmeriCorps to find the effects of service on their future educational attainment, employment and careers, and civic engagement and volunteering. Reveals that AmeriCorps is a pipeline to careers in public service, and creates civic leaders who continue to serve in their communities long after their AmeriCorps term has been completed.
