Discusses the results of a study done on an innovative program that identifies youth in particular high-crime neighborhoods that are "most likely to kill or be killed" and then offers them increased support, opportunities, supervision, and monitoring. Gives details regarding how the program works, who the participants are, and how partnerships between community organizations, the district attorney's office, the police department, the judiciary, and probation and parole can increase the number of young people "alive at 25."
