Abstract:
Provides flexible guidelines for implementing an intergenerational program in which youth and senior adults work together to learn about their neighborhoods and each other. Activities are connected to subject areas in the academic curriculum, including social studies, civics, architecture and design, history, communications, and urban planning. Intended for use by teachers of fourth grade through junior high school classes and by community-based organizations interested in developing intergenerational programs.
