The Child Nutrition Foundation supports school food service or nutrition departments to develop School Community Kitchens, which have the ability to move Food Stamp program participants and low-income individuals into entry-level food-service jobs. In order to be eligible for the funds, applicants must represent a school food-service or nutrition department at the district or school building level and be a current American School Food Service Association (ASFSA) member.
