Barbara A. Holland, Ph.D., is Director of the National Service-Learning Clearinghouse which is funded by the Learn and Serve America Program of the Corporation for National and Community Service and is managed by ETR Associates in Scotts Valley, CA.

Barbara also holds appointments as Senior Scholar in the Center for Service and Learning at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and as Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Sydney (Australia). Previously, she served as a loaned executive from IUPUI to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development as the Visiting Director of the Office of University Partnerships. She has also been a senior academic administrator at several universities. Her scholarly interests focus on organizational change, especially the institutionalization and assessment of civic engagement and service-learning programs and community-university partnerships. Her Bachelor's and Master's degrees were earned at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism, and she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
